I BLUEDAWN nascono nel corso del 2009 da un'intuizione di Enrico (basso) e Andrea (batteria). A loro si aggiungono nel corso del 2009 Monica alla voce e Paolo alla chitarra. Quattro personalita' diverse, con gusti musicali diversi cercano di fondare un percorso musicale organico che parta dalle radici dell'hard-rock anni 70 fino ad arrivare a sonorita' moderne. Dopo un anno speso nell'arrangiamento di otto canzoni basate su idee a cui Enrico aveva meditato per anni, la Band si presenta ai Nadir studios di Tommy Talamanca. Due brevi pezzi strumentali completano un lavoro ambizioso fatto di sonorita gotiche e doom metal con una struttuta dei brani di impostazione fortemente progressive. Il disco (eponimo) viene distribuito dall'etichetta Black Widow Records a partire da fine febbraio 2011. I BLUEDAWN sono on the road... Nel novembre 2012 la band ha intrapreso un tour nel Regno Unito. All' inizio del 2013 Cruschelli ha dovuto trasferirsi in un' altra parte del paese, costringendo la band a sostituirlo con Luigi Milanese, ottimo ed esperto musicista della scena genovese. Milanese apparirà nel nuovo album che verrà registrato a marzo. Il nuovo album è uscito nel dicembre del 2013. Milanese decide di trasferirsi negli Stati Uniti, viene quindi sostituito dal nuovo chitarrista, Andrea "Marty" Martino,che partecipa a date live nel corso del 2014 - 15. Nel 2016 viene registrato il nuovo album, "Edge of chaos", in uscita nel 2017 su BWR. L' album è uscito nel luglio del 2017, seguito dall' esibizione al PortoLive MetalFest di Genova dove ha debuttato, alla chitarra solista e alle tastiere il quinto membro del gruppo, Davide Bruzzi(Il Segno del Comando). Nel 2018 I Blue Dawn sono apparsi col brano “Zombie” sul tributo ai Death SS – Terror Tales. Nel 2021 la band registra il brano Astronomy per il tributo ai Blue Oyster Cult “The dark side of the Cult”, uscito nella primavera del 2022. Ad aprile del 2023 i Blue Dawn pubblicano il loro quarto album “Reflections from an unseen world” per BWR su cd e vinile. BLUEDAWN was conceived in the early 2009 by Enrico (bass guitar) and Andrea (Drums) joined shortly after by Monica (vocals) and Paolo (guitar). Gifted with far different musical feelings, they try to create a single musical flavour starting from 70's english hard rock and dark sound through modern rock and metal. After a year of rehearsals on eight songs based on ideas Lanciaprima have been working on for years, the band entered Nadir Studios, assisted by Tommy Talamanca. Two more short instrumentals were added and the final product was ready at the end of 2010, showcasing a varied musical effort,with gothic/doom metal sounds and progressive song structures. The album has been released by Black Widow records worldwide in late february 2011. BLUEDAWN are on the road... In november 2012 the band did a succesfull Uk tour. In the beginning of the new year Cruschelli had to relocate in another part of the country, forcing the band to hiore a new guitar player, experienced musician Luigi Milanese. In march the band will enter Nadir studios to record their second album, to be released in december. The new album, titled Cycle of pain, has been released on Black Widow Records last december, a limited edition on vinyl will be released in april. After helping the band to arrange, produce and record the new songs, Milanese decides to moving to America, Blue Dawn have now recruited new, permanent guitar player Andrea "Marty" Martino, who plays live with the band during 2014 -15. In late 2016 a new album, "Edge of chaos" was recorded and came out in the spring of 2017 on BWR. A second guitar player who plays also keyboards, has been added in the line up and debuted live with the band in july 2017 at Genoa's PortolIve MetalFest, supporting Arcturus, Sadist and Mortuary Drape. In 2018 Blue Dawn released the track “Zombie” on the tribute album “Terro tales – a tribute to Death SS”. During 2021 the band the song “Astronomy” for the Blue Oyster Cult tribute album “The dark side of the Cult”, released in the spring of 2022. In april 2023 the band release their 4th album entitled “Reflections from an unseen world” on cd and vinyl through BWR.
